Monday/July 26, 2007

So far, my day is going really good. I stayed up pretty late reading my old blog posts, so I had a little bit of a hard time getting up this morning when the alarm went off, but I did manage to get up early enough to get some devotion time in before my hubby woke up. I was so encouraged by reading my blog last night, that I was determined to get up early and get in the Word.
I've been able to get some cleaning done, and go through papers and throw away and origanize and get ready to work on paying bills.
Right now I'm enjoying some crunchy broccoli salad and fresh cucumbers for lunch while I'm having some time to blog. I'm fixin to spend a few minutes looking at an old recipe book, then back to bills.

Sunday/July 25, 2010

Had a great day in the Lord and with friends.
I got up and put a roast in the oven before church, dressed, and went to prayer mtg. Dominic brought a great word from the Lord about the goodness of God...Ps. 100, Acts 10:38 .
We than had a really good service, Pastor preached on loving our neighbor .
Jackie and Carl, Mitchell and Ashley, and Mike Cummings came over for lunch after church.
I then took a really good nap and went to cell mtg at Lloyd and Carol's house.
Just got home and called my husband to see where he is, and he is on a crime scene. Poor man, I'm really concerned about his overworking and being so exhausted.

Saturday/July 24, 2010

Since I just started this blog/journal today, I'll tell you about my week. Okay, maybe not my whole week, I'm getting tired and can't remember back that far. But, I do know that I got some canning done this week...bread and butter pickles, tomato puree, and pickled peppers. Enjoyed time with some friends...Sunday evening we went to Taco Casa with church people and Nick and I and Roy and Brandy ended up staying and talking a long time after everyone else left, Tuesday was Tamale Tuesday, enjoyed visiting with ladies from church at Tamales, ...had a great prayer meeting this morning, Bro. Paul spoke on boldness and the Lord layed on my heart to share the scripture Mark 8:38, "Whoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when He cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels."...Then I went to Burkes, found a blouse for half price, that's exciting....Last night Nick and I went to new Tuscan restaurant, it was really good. ...Kathleen has started coming over for tea on Thursdays. We always have a good time visiting, praying, swapping recipes and homemaking ideas, and encouraging one another. ...Okay, this post is pretty jumbled up, I better get what needs to be done before going to bed accomplished (still some cleaning and cooking to do before Sunday) and get to bed.
